Colorado aligns state surprise billing laws with federal protections

Surprise medical billing was so rampant, that up to 1 in 5 Americans who had surgery or visited an emergency room received them. Now both state and federal laws are in place to protect people against this practice, and HB22-1284 clarifies and aligns those laws for maximum protection for Colorado residents.

Colorado governor signs one of the country’s most comprehensive PFAS restriction laws

Colorado Gov. Jared Polis signed into law one of the most comprehensive state bills in the country restricting the sale of consumer products containing PFAS. The bill also aims to restrict PFAS chemicals in fluids used in oil and gas extraction.
